When I was first challenged to come up with a conceptual design for The Covering House I was struck by the classic juxtaposition of the beauty & delicacy of a rose to its spiky, dangerous thorns. The fact that women The Covering House cares for can go through something so difficult and painful but allow others to care for them so they can heal reveals both a beauty and a sting.
